Diageo is a multinational alcoholic beverages company with a renowned collection of spirit and beer brands. Their culture is rooted in a deep sense of purpose and their customers' connections to each brand's history. For this project, Diageo and Bergdorf Goodman needed a way to visually tell the story behind two of their most beloved brands, Oban Whisky and Bulleit Bourbon. Part of Bergdorf Goodman's annual holiday offering is elaborate gift packages featuring tours of their brand's distilleries, including chances to interact with local cuisine, sport, and culture. The challenge was in selling something intangible. The solution was to create two perfect-bound books outlining each tour's highlights, telling the stories behind each brand's history to sell the packages. The final books embodied an ethos of simply elegant design with thought-out details and attention to materials.
