Gothamist called it ‘aggressively cool’ and that’s just what the project ordered! The team behind NYC’s Crave Fishbar opened TacoVision in Midtown East, a fast casual concept with a counter service operation downstairs and a sit-down restaurant and mezcal bar upstairs. In a neighborhood already crowded with options, particularly amongst the local working crowd who occupy the local establishments looking for good lunch deals and better happy hour ones, the solution was to go big, bold and loud. Using lots of color and strategically applying eye-catching branding elements throughout created an environment that feels vibrant and interactive. Neon signage, large punny sayings like ‘Take Me To Your Taco’ on oversized t-shirts worn as uniforms, and takeaway bags that repeat the name TacoVision enough times to turn it into a mantra all work together to create a uniquely modern dining experience.
